ioki Vehicle App
Availability in app stores
- Following the release of the ioki Vehicle App in the Google Play Store, it is now also available for iOS devices in the Apple App Store.
- This means that the app is now available for both operating systems in the public app stores.

- The app stores will automatically provide the latest app version.
- Automatic updates should be active on the device so that always the latest version of the ioki Vehicle App can be used.
Release 2.18.2
The latest version 2.18.2 is already available in the app stores. This is new:
- Distance to the next manoeuvre:
- A new feature is that the distance to the next manoeuvre is displayed to drivers.
- This makes navigation easier by providing information at an early stage.
- Improved distance calculation:
- We have introduced an improved algorithm for calculating the distance between manoeuvres.
- Improved route tracking:
- We have improved the display of the route traveled.
ioki Operator
New in the ride search: "Cancellation reasons"
- In the rides list in the ioki Operator, journeys can now be filtered according to the reason for cancellation.
- This fulfils a frequent request to be able to filter rides precisely according to this criterion, e.g. "No offer due to parallel PT alternatives".
Breaks: "Preserve duration"
- When creating a vehicle planning, you can now define in the ioki Operator whether a break should retain its full duration.
- There are two ways in which the ioki Platform handles breaks:
- Preserve duration = The duration of the break is always maintained, even if it starts too late.
- Do not preserve duration = The end time of the break always remains the same, even if the break starts later then planned.
- These variants can be used to plan breaks more generously, for example, in order to compensate for any delays.
Matching ranks in ioki Operator
- In the ioki Operator, matching ranks can now be set on vehicles and vehicle plannings.
- These can be used to set the priority with which vehicles are being utilized.
- An important use case is, for example in mixed fleets, assigning a higher matching rank to an individual barrier-free vehicle.
- This means that the vehicle is only used for rides when the rest of the fleet is fully utilized and, if necessary, is available with priority for passengers with restricted mobility.
Phone Booking
Change of standard booking option
- Our experience shows that most passengers want to use the nearby option for stop-based requests.
- Therefore, we have changed the default value from exact to nearby to save steps in the booking process.
- This means that the option, which gives our ioki Logic more freedom to optimize efficiency, is now used by default.
- If it is necessary to book the departure at a specific stop (e.g. walking routes for people with reduced mobility), the exact option can of course still be used.
ioki Passenger App
Reorganization of discounts
- We have improved the display of discounts.
- Discounts granted by the operator (e.g. disability discount) now appear in the customer profile.
- Marketing-related discounts and promo codes, on the other hand, appear in the Promo Codes section.
- This simplifies the user experience of the ioki Passenger App.
Web Booking: Check minimum age
- Confirmation of the minimum age is now also supported in our Web Booking.
API
New endpoint "fleet state"
- A new "fleet state" endpoint is available in the ioki Operator and Platform API.
- This can be used to efficiently retrieve current vehicle positions of the product.
- For example, to display current vehicle positions in a MaaS app.
